See when an iPhone Message was sent

A quick and easy way to check out when a message was sent on your Apple iPhone is by holding your thumb down on the message and dragging the message bubble to the left – the time appears on the right.

Another way to take a photo with the iPhone/iPad

When you use the camera app, you get a little shutter button at the bottom of the screen, press it and you’ve taken a photo….easy, right? But pressing the volume up (+) or down (-) buttons on the side of the phone/iPad does the same thing – and it’s easier to reach (especially when doing ‘selfies’!)

So, just call up the camera app, aim and press the vol buttons instead of the shutter icon.

Easy way to install and use Emotions on your iPhone

Emjoi is the Japanese term for picture characters or emoticons.  Up until the latest Apple software upgrade (iOS 5), these could only be used if the Emjoi app was purchased, however now you can get the Emjoi characters on your iPhone or iPad  by enabling the Emjoi keyboard and happily include them in text messages.

***Note the fact that there are multiple keyboards available means that if you type in a different language (say German or Czech for me), then you can also add in different language keyboards using these same notes – just select your language instead of choosing Emjoi).

Gym Pact iPhone App: get paid when you go to the gym

Well now I have heard everything:  this iPhone app (which they say is available for use internationally), works like like this:You download it, register and commit to a certain number of days per week in at particular gym. You also committ to paying/being docked a certain sum if you do not meet that committment.  The money goes into a common pool and the members who meet their target of attending get paid.

I have not downloaded it,  so I can’t judge or endorse it, but you can check it out here:  http://www.gym-pact.com/.

And I would LOVE to hear any feedback from those who have actually tried it out.
