Dr. Angela Lewis - Biography

 

Dr Angela Lewis is a skilled workplace and university educator with a distinguished publications record on issues related to the societal impact of technology. Many of her articles are available for viewing here. She has taught in adult education for most of her working life and her IT training business has provided various learning programs to both the government and corporate sector for the past 18 years, winning the Australian Achiever Customer Service Award in 2001, 2002 and again in 2003.

Angela Lewis was awarded a PhD from Deakin University in October 2006 for a thesis on women learning IT in the workplace. She is an AITD Accredited Training Practitioner, holds the latest TAA4 and has delivered undergraduate and Masters units for the Faculty of Education at  Monash University. 

She is also a registered counsellor, acting as IT Education Adviser to the Australian Counselling Association for the past 10 years. This organisation has awarded her the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Australian Counselling Industry Award’ on three separate occasions.  She was also until recently Industry Adviser to the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors.

 Dr. Lewis sits on the board of governance for the Western Regional Centre against Sexual Assault (WestCasa) and has recently been invited to join the inaugural editorial board of Impact, the Journal of Applied Research in Workplace (E-learning Network of Australasia).
